Brent crude trading at $82.38/bbl

Crude oil prices on Wednesday climbed Rs44 to Rs6,570 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. On MCX, crude oil for June delivery traded higher Rs44 or 0.67 per cent at Rs6,570 per barrel in 7,228 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose 0.76 per cent to $78.49 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.56 per cent higher at $82.38 per barrel in New York.
